Maclean's Bridge at Lakeside Sports and Classic Car Festival

Those of us who spend some time among sportscars cannot avoid being impressed by the quality of replica and recreated cars. And many of them are extraordinarily maintained by their enthusiastic owners.
In 2011 we had to reject an applicant for the Concours d'Elegance as the car was a replica, but the standard and beautiful presentation of that car impressed all who saw it. And at any sports or classic car event, there are others equally impressive.
The Concours de Facsimile is an opportunity for cars of outstanding standard but definitively replicas or recreations of a classic to be shown and compared in a Concours where their replica or recreated nature is not a derogatory descriptor, just a statement of fact shared by all the cars in that Concours.
Maclean's Bridge at Lakeside proudly offers these cars this opportunity. It may be a 'first' - we don't know. The Concours for replica and recreations will be on 20 May 2012.
